Exsolution Catalysts—Increasing Metal Efficiency

نویسندگان

چکیده

Exsolution catalysts are perovskite oxide-based materials that can exsolve catalytically active dopant elements as nanoparticles covering the surface, while backbone act a stable support material. Thus, under proper conditions, highly and catalyst surface be achieved. For many catalytic materials, precious metals or non-abundant play key role in high activity. As these often expensive their supply is ecologically ethically problematic, replacement, at least reduction necessary amount used, common aim of current research. One strategy to do so utilizing exsolution catalysts, very selectively exsolved, hence only small doping amounts sufficient for excellent results. This approach enables design with metal efficiency.

5. Myrmekite Formed by Exsolution?

At the first site, the Weinsberg (Moldanubian) granite and an older quartzmonzonite facies of the South Bohemian pluton in Austria both contain orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene and must have crystallized from magmas at high temperatures. The granite contains orthoclase megacrysts (as much as 10 to 20 cm long), which (1) are chemically zoned with Ba-rich cores (1 to 2 % mol Cs; and locally as muc...

Evidence and Model for Strain-Driven Release of Metal Nanocatalysts from Perovskites during Exsolution.

The evolution of the surface morphology during exsolution of Ni from the perovskite La0.4Sr0.4Ti0.97Ni0.03O3-δ under reducing conditions was determined using atomic force microscopy. The exsolution process was found to initially induce the formation of a 20-30 nm deep pit on the oxide surface followed by the emergence of a Ni particle at the bottom of the pit. Continued emergence of the particl...

Exsolution enthalpy of water from silicate liquids

Because water dissolves in silicate melts as at least two species, H O molecules and OH groups, the exsolution 2 Ž . evaporation enthalpy of the H O component from a silicate melt depends on species proportions, which in turn depends on 2 H O pressure. In this short communication, a formal analysis of the exsolution enthalpy of water from a silicate melt is 2 presented, taking into account of t...

Efficiency of Dust Capture from Metal Grinding

According to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, one of the essential requirements relating to occupational safety and health hazards is to prevent dust pollution emitted by machinery during the implementation processes. Research on evaluation of emissions from machinery, according to the method of test bench using tracer gases, are currently being conducted in CIOP-PIB. This article presents s...

High-efficiency metal-semiconductor-metal photodetectors on heteroepitaxially grown Ge on Si.

We demonstrate extremely efficient germanium-on-silicon metal-semiconductor-metal photodetectors with responsivities (R) as high as 0.85 A/W at 1.55 microm and 2V reverse bias. Ge was directly grown on Si by using a novel heteroepitaxial growth technique, which uses multisteps of growth and hydrogen annealing to reduce surface roughness and threading dislocations that form due to the 4.2% latti...
